China's Minister of Commerce, Bo focused on promoting greater imports

China's Minister of Commerce, Bo Xilai in a speech delivered at a recent business conference, focused on promoting greater imports from foreign markets like the U.S. as a top priority for this year. Bo stated that in 2007, China must reduce its trade surplus with other nations. Bo further encourages all Chinese regions to begin to change their goals from pursuing exporting over importing to help shift the trade balance in the next three years.
